Host Profiles

SMI-S 1.1.0 defines the following Profiles that relate to the management of components attached to host systems:

  • FC HBA - allows a Client manage the Fibre Channel (FC) ports on a system using a Host Based Adapter (HBA)
  • iSCSI Initiator - allows a Client to manage the combination of hardware and drivers on a host system that act as a client to a target SCSI device
